In the recent developments surrounding illegal houses in Maniktala and Baghjatin areas, the judge has commented on the Mayor's approach to handling the issue. According to the Mayor, there is a proper procedure for demolishing such structures, and the authorities have been working diligently to carry out this task.
The Mayor emphasized that the city has seen a significant increase in demolishing illegal buildings, with the authorities doing "200 percent more house-breaking work than before." This surge in efforts has been made possible through the cooperation of the police and following the appropriate legal process.
Addressing concerns raised against a councilor in Baghjatin area allegedly obstructing the demolition of an illegal house, the Mayor clarified that councilors have no involvement in such matters. If a structure is deemed illegal, it is imperative to enforce the law and demolish it. The Mayor asserted that councilors must abide by the law and cannot hinder the rightful actions taken against illegal constructions.
The Mayor further stated that the primary responsibility of the administration is to serve the people, and by taking decisive action against illegal structures, they aim to uphold the welfare of the community.
